Accommodations

Special rates are offered for hotels designated by the festival office during the festival period.
Detailed information and an application form will be sent to those who pass the audition. (The rates are applicable for the students’ entourages, e.g., families and friends.)
The application should be made through the festival office.

Transportation

Airline Tickets

Special rates are offered for the following flights, designated by the festival office (approximately 50% of the normal fare). Detailed information and an application form will be sent to those who pass the audition.

Leave Tokyo/Osaka July 25 (Sunday) and July 31 (Saturday) morning flights
Leave Kagoshima August 9 (Monday) afternoon flights
Tokyo(Haneda)⇔Kagoshima approximately 22,000 yen/one way
Osaka(Itami)⇔Kagoshima approximately 15,000 yen/one way
Extra seat charge for an instrument approximately 10,000 yen/ one way regardless of the route
  • The regulations on carry-on baggage were standardized on December 1st, 2009 among all the domestic airlines in Japan. Please note that you are asked either to check in your instrument or to buy an extra seat, if the sum of three dimensions of your instrument case exceeds 115 cm.

Local Transportation

With an ID pass provided by the festival office, students can take route buses from the Miyama Concert Hall to the hotels free of charge.
(※ For a group, the festival office will arrange for a separate bus.)
